AVAILABLE SESSIONS

1. Accelerating Digital Engineering with MBSE & Virtual Twin

A Hands-On Robotic Arm Workshop Using SysML and 3DEXPERIENCE

Step into the future of product development with this immersive 4-hour training session: Accelerating Digital Engineering with MBSE & Virtual Twin. Through the lens of a fully integrated robotic arm system, participants will experience how digital engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Virtual Twin technologies come together to drive innovation, reduce development cycles, and ensure design traceability from concept to validation.

This workshop goes beyond theory, delivering a hands-on demonstration of the entire product lifecycle—from system requirements captured in SysML, through co-simulation and multiphysics modeling using Dymola, to robotic simulation and hardware-in-the-loop verification via DELMIA.
Attendees will engage with tools across the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, explore the Power’By approach, and understand how to manage cross-disciplinary changes efficiently.

By the end of this session, participants will walk away with practical knowledge of how to:

  • Apply MBSE and SysML in real-world design contexts
  • Use co-simulation and digital threads to align systems, mechanical, and electrical design
  • Leverage CATIA Magic and 3DEXPERIENCE apps to increase traceability, collaboration, and speed
  • Translate systems engineering insights into better product outcomes
  • Use Model Context Protocol (MCP) AI to elevate engineering tasks to the next level.

Whether you're a systems engineer, product developer, or digital transformation leader, this workshop equips you with actionable skills and modern engineering perspectives you can use immediately in your projects.

Workshop Lead: Saulius Pavalkis, MBSE EcoSystem Director, Dassault Systèmes

2. Real-Time 3D Laser Scanning & AI-Powered Digital Twins: Build, Connect & Control Physical Assets

Join this cutting-edge, 4-hour hands-on workshop where you'll build a complete AI-driven digital twin from scratch—integrating real-time 3D laser scanning, live system connectivity, and intelligent automation. This immersive session is designed for engineers, innovators, and digital strategists eager to move beyond theory into real-world applications.

Using the Vertasyn platform, participants will learn how to:

  • Perform real-time 3D laser scanning of physical assets
  • Connect disparate systems through a robust streaming data architecture
  • Build a fully functional digital twin that mirrors and controls real-world assets
  • Deploy Generative AI agents to interpret data and make intelligent decisions
  • Implement contextual digital threads that enable actionable insights

Whether you're exploring your first digital twin or scaling enterprise initiatives, this workshop gives you the tools and frameworks to accelerate innovation and operational intelligence.

Participants will gain experience on:

  • A fully working digital twin prototype built live during the session
  • Hands-on experience with real-time data streams and AI integration
  • Practical skills to apply in industrial or enterprise environments
  • 30-day free trial access to the Vertasyn platform to continue learning post-workshop

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to build, connect, and control physical assets through AI-powered digital ecosystems.
Workshop Lead: Greg Porter, Principal Solutions Architect, Sev1Tech

3. From Digital Thread to Digital Twin: Operational Assurance & Asset-Centric Architecture with Crysp

In this session, attendees will import and build 3d assets in a pre-configured 3D digital twin IDE and compile them for deployment.

Digital twins deliver measurable value only when governance, asset structure, and operational assurance are robust. This advanced workshop demonstrates how to design and implement an asset-centric digital thread that forms the operational assurance layer beneath scalable digital twin programs. The session focuses on structured operational data, compliance traceability, and workflow automation — not geometry or visualization layers. Using Crysp’s Premises → Asset → Risk model, participants will configure a contextual common data environment (CDE) connecting:

  • Asset hierarchies
  • Compliance and regulatory obligations
  • Operational risks and hazards
  • Maintenance cycles and contracts
  • Evidence and audit trails
  • Automation-ready workflows

The result is a governance-controlled, integration-ready digital thread capable of supporting high-assurance operational environments.

Applicability Across Domains

Although examples will focus on manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centers, the Premises–Asset–Risk digital thread pattern generalizes across any asset-intensive operating environment, including:

  • Industrial facilities and warehouse
  • Retail estates and distributed property portfolios
  • Nuclear and critical national infrastructure sites
  • Energy and utilities
  • Schools, universities, and large campus environments
  • Healthcare systems and regulated public sector facilities

The architectural approach remains consistent: structured asset context, traceable risk governance, and executable automation.

By the End of the Session, Participants Will Be Able To:

  • Design an asset-centric digital thread architecture
  • Implement a structured Premises–Asset–Risk model
  • Demonstrate end-to-end traceability from regulation to asset-level action
  • Establish an audit-ready operational assurance framework
  • Integrate structured governance data with automation platforms (Node-RED, n8n, API-driven systems)
  • Understand how compliance and asset data underpin scalable digital twin initiatives

NOTE: This session does not cover 3D modelling, BIM, or floorplan-based visualization.

Workshop Lead: David McKee, National Head of Technology and Digital Transformation, Crysp
